Engineer and metallurgy group Novopro Projects has been acquired by CIMIC Group and its Sedgman subsidiary.
Novopro specializes in project development and operational optimization in minerals processing for lithium projects, as well as in potash, salt, magnesium and soda ash.
With expertise in lithium processing technology, the acquisition expands Sedgman’s service offerings to clients from sustaining capital through to major greenfield development.
The company will operate as Sedgman Novopro and be part of Sedgman in North America. Sedgman Novopro officials said it will contribute to the diversification of services in North America, a key growth market for Sedgman, and the rest of the world.
“In Sedgman, we are pleased to find a strategic partner that complements our current services, expands our capability and offers new opportunities to our personnel and our clients,” Novopro MD Mazi Rejaee said.
